High-quality food industry dust extraction
In the food industry, dust is unacceptable both from hygienic and safety standpoints. From the hygienic standpoint, dust is a source of impurities and it creates environments for bacteria, which is both unacceptable in the food industry.
Paper dust deposits near production lines are combustive and can create explosive environments, which must be avoided at all costs.
The most commonly extracted technologies in food industry are: raw materials transportation, conveyors transfer points, grinders, mixers and final product packaging. Central dust extraction systems applications
In food industry, dust extraction devices are attached directly at the source of dust and connected to a central extraction duct, which leads the dust to the central extraction and filtration device, where the dust is filtered from the air. Air extraction devices and ducts are designed in stainless steel to enable easy disassembly for cleaning purposes.
The filtration device is equipped with automatic filter regeneration with compressed air counterflow, which to ensure continuous exhaust power distribution.
The filtered air is blown outside during summer and returned to the workplace during winter to save heating costs.
Explosive dust extraction
Almost every type of food dust is explosive, and we need to design our solutions accordingly. Solutions for these applications must meet these requirements: minimum exhaust speed 20 m/s, electric conductivity of every extraction component due to static electricity produced by dust particles inside air ducts. Filtration technology must have protective measures against potential shockwaves. Filter must be equipped with a relief membrane facing to safe space with restricted workers movement. Air ducts must be secured with a safety flap to prevent shockwaves from spreading further into the piping system. The filtration device must be pressure resistant and equipped with antistatic filter medium. Annual inspections of filter medium safety measures are necessary to ensure safety of the whole system.
Filter medium replacement cost
